Social impact

We believe empowering women transforms the world one community at a time. That’s why over 90% of our staff are women. By providing women artisans with skill training and income opportunities, we are able to help transform cycles of poverty into cycles of prosperity.

Our key Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)

The United Nations created 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) in order to end poverty by 2030 while protecting the planet and promoting sustainable development. We want to align our work with these goals, using them as a united language in our internal and external communication and as a framework to encourage collaboration. While we work with every goal, we have identified four SDGs, upon which we have a direct impact – we call these our key SDGs.

We have chosen these four goals because they heavily impact our vision and mission. We have devoted extra focus towards these goals so we can make the most significant changes possible.

Reduce inequality within and among countries

We create bold designs, all while doing our best to empower the people involved in the process and uphold human rights, social fairness and gender equality.

End poverty in all its forms everywhere

Economic sovereignty provides a lasting impact on poverty reduction. Our female-dominated staff earn twice more than those employed in an average artisan workplace.

Achieve gender equality and empower all women

Fashion is self-expression for a woman's body, and so we help women find their confidence and soul connectivity with society, to think big without any barriers.

Decent work and economic growth

We take responsibility for labour implications of the 'fast fashion' model by maintaining a healthy, adequately compensated and full-time workforce and proper working conditions.
